The Banquet Bar Captain is the leader in all things alcohol/and bar related. The Banquet Bar Captain is expected to review BEO's, organize events with leadership, and are responsible for the purchasing and inventory of the banquet bars

Participate in all required training, team meetings, pre-shift meetings, and other meetings related to banquet bar operations.
• Lead by example and hold team members accountable to standards established by resort leadership.
• Implement and enforce all company safety procedures, including food and beverage safety and sanitation standards.
• Create and recommend new ideas to enhance the guest experience and improve banquet bar operations.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.
• Delegate daily opening and closing duties to Bartenders and Barbacks based on event needs and leadership expectations.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with the Banquet Bar Team, Banquet leadership, and other resort departments.
• Review BEOs and communicate with the Manager on Duty regarding any last-minute changes or special event requirements.
• Lead and conduct pre-shift meetings with the entire Bar Team to review event details, assignments, expectations, and service standards.
• Prepare Consumption Reports as needed and save completed reports in the designated Banquet Drive folder.
• Monitor product consumption during events and communicate any concerns or variances to leadership.
• Complete and submit all required bar reports, including but not limited to:
  • Consumption Reports
  • Tip Forms
  • Waste Logs
  • Ice Machine Cleaning Logs
  • Inventory Reports
• Oversee the fair and accurate distribution of cash tips in accordance with company procedures.
• Schedule Ice Machine Cleaning dates based on the banquet event schedule and operational availability.
• Assist with weekly purchasing of bar products and conduct monthly inventory of all bar products, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain the Liquor Room, Outside Storage, and BBZ #7 Storage areas in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.
• Report equipment or facility issues to leadership promptly, including issues involving the Pepsi cooler, ice machines, liquor room sink, and other bar equipment.
• Ensure all Credit Card Bars have fully charged iPads and Stripe card readers prior to the start of each event.
• Set up and review Credit Card Bar iPads before events, ensuring pricing, products, and categories accurately match the BEO.
• Provide training and guidance to new Bartenders and Barbacks with support from Banquet leadership.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive work environment while encouraging strong communication and camaraderie among team members.
• Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Inspect the set-up of meeting and banquet functions, checking them against the Banquet Event Order.

• Is capable of lifting/pushing a minimum of 25lbs and can work in various weather conditions
• This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.
• Business may require additional hours throughout the work week to accommodate event needs and may require schedule changes and some flexibility in the schedule during high volume and peak season.
• This is an hourly position and requires punching in and out and signing in and out before and after shifts.
