Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time NUS position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Schedule:
Weekend Requirement
: Every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday - Day shift and Friday and Saturday - Night Shift).
Holiday Requirement: Every third major holiday group (summer and winter holidays), assigned based on department needs at the time of hire.
Remote:On-site only (no remote flexibility)

This is a 24 hour per week/NIGHT shift position.

NICU uses a self-scheduling process in 8-week scheduling blocks. The only shifts that are predetermined are your required weekends and holidays. Team members are assigned to a weekend rotation (every third weekend) and a holiday rotation (every third major summer/winter holiday) based on department needs at the time of hire.

For the remaining shifts, you'll submit your preferred schedule for the 8-week period. Leadership then reviews all requests and balances the schedule to ensure staffing needs are met. The finalized schedule is typically posted about 30 days before it takes effect.

Join the NICU team at Barbara Bush Children's Hospital as a Nursing Unit Secretary and play an essential role in supporting the daily operations of our neonatal intensive care unit. In this fast-paced and rewarding environment, you'll work closely with nurses, providers, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to help keep the unit organized and running smoothly. From coordinating communication and maintaining accurate records to providing exceptional customer service and administrative support, your work will directly contribute to a positive experience for our smallest patients and their families. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
  3. Experience: One year of hospital or health care setting preferred.

The pay range for this position is $19.10to $22.53 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
