Maintenance Technician

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience working in GMP environment as a general maintenance technician.
• Basic carpentry skills, understands basic building systems, knowledge of facilities mechanical and electrical systems are a plus (boilers, H.V.A.C. equipment etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
• Understanding of basic math.
• Knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, electrical and other applicable equipment.
• Display a mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting repairs.
• Complete a 10-hour online OSHA certification.
• May be required to attend classes, seminars, or training sessions to achieve certifications necessary for advancement.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift, move, or carry objects up to 50 pounds; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; utilize feet and legs or hands and arms; maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, or navigating narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces; bend body down and forward by bending spine and legs; move about on hands and knees or hands and feet; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; and push and/or pull over 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Will work out of a fully equipped workshop environment in a GMP environment.
