DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role focuses on delivering dependable medical care to residents and supporting the medical team in meeting daily needs. The position also requires attention to documentation, assessments, and collaboration with other professionals. As a Staff Physician 2, you will perform the following duties:

  • Medical Care: Provide direct medical attention to residents across assigned living areas and other locations as needed
  • Clinical Assessments: Evaluate residents through physical examinations, diagnostic studies, and appropriate treatments
  • Documentation: Record all clinical decisions and actions clearly, including progress notes and required reports
  • Medication Management: Write accurate medication orders, review drug regimens, and complete mandated medication reviews
  • Consultation: Support other physicians by offering guidance and expertise when requested
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow federal, state, and organizational regulations while maintaining required continuing education

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Participates in on-call schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays. Overtime as needed. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirement:
  • You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
