TITLE: Production Manager



POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for managing the Cast stretch film production and projects in a cost effective and safe manner that will maximize plant production Output & Yields. This position demands a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and leadership skills.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 8-10 years' experience working in a manufacturing / production environment
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Strong background in production operations


  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).


  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with Plastic Manufacturing
  • Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes.
  • Project management experience is a plus.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for supporting and following Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Supervise and manage day-day Production Department functions to support manufacturing of cast stretch film.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
  • Review and track key KPI's to meet Plant & Corporate goals including monthly production and equipment performance reports.
  • Develop training manuals for production department.


  • Manage production personnel shift schedules, in approving timesheets, overtime & performance reviews.
  • Monitor daily production output, scrap & machine issues and coordinate with scheduling on the orders and product changeovers.
  • Coordinates production activities with maintenance, plant office, and Shipping.
  • Monitors incoming raw material and packaging along with material consumption to ensure material inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly production performance reports and present to the upper management.
  • Ensure product quality is consistent across all shifts and perform plant investigation & implement corrective action to reduce customer returns.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Assist in managing and implementing capital expansion or improvement projects.
  • Assist in conducting engineering evaluations of contractors and vendors in regard to maintenance support.
  • Maintain needed production & safety supplies.
  • Ensures production personnel / extrusion technicians are properly trained
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Assist in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Should be available for On-call as operational issues arise after work hours.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation & training material, including SOCs, reports, and operating manuals.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies into product specification applications.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S followed.
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Maintenance department for scheduled P.M. and major repairs.
  • Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production output / efficiency and product quality.
  • Assist in reviewing and coordinating completion of work bid from contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Loud Noise
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs and repetitive action of lifting and bending
  • Must wear steel toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor all times
  • No shorts, jewelry and loose hanging clothes allowed
