Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, provide support for mission critical functions of the department including complex purchasing, inventory management, conduct preliminary first tier troubleshooting on malfunctioning devices and coordinate with third-party vendors for advanced diagnostics, repairs, and biannual preventative maintenance. Inventory management includes maintaining clinical and office inventory levels in the storeroom, distribution points and multiple department locations. Coordinating medical equipment inspection/maintenance needs. Which includes record keeping, first tier troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance, as well as coordinating semi-annual electrical safety/integrity inspections. Maintain equipment inventory system. Support program in special projects as assigned. Serve as the departmental Travel & Entertainment subject matter expert and contact. Provide policy and procedure guidance to department, ensuring all compliance polices are met with efficiency and integrity. Maintain proper documentation for audit trails and participate in audits. Department Overview Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) provides primary care, mental health, urgent care, laboratory, pharmacy, health education and counseling services to registered UC Davis students. SHCS serves approximately 300 patients per day during the school year. SHCS has approximately 250 staff including managers, senior professionals, professional and support staff, student employees, interns and post doc residents. SHCS is accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), and IACS (International Association for Counseling Services). The Travel/Purchasing department is mission critical and responsible for providing overall purchasing, travel and entertainment processing, inventory management, receiving, accounts payable, medical equipment inspection and maintenance functions to provide SHCS clinics and administrative departments with the materials and service to meet the needs of our patients, providers, and staff. Travel, purchasing and inventory management is complex and time sensitive, especially in the areas of laboratory, pharmacy optometry, primary care, and acute care clinics. POSITION INFORMATION
