SUMMARY



Responsible for supporting the accuracy and integrity of Salesforce opportunity data and its alignment with Finance processes. Key responsibilities include reviewing and validating opportunity data, identifying and resolving discrepancies, partnering with Sales and Finance stakeholders, supporting revenue reporting and recognition processes, and driving data quality and process improvements.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform regular reviews and audits of Salesfoce data opportunities to identify incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or potentially erroneous information, including opportunity stage, effective date, revenue amount, booking structure, and other key financial and operational fields.

Research and investigate opportunity discrepancies, work directly with Sales and other business users to determine the appropriate resolution, and follow up to ensure required corrections are completed timely.

Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders to resolve opportunity-related issues and ensure Salesforce data appropriately supports revenue reporting, revenue recognition, and other downstream financial processes.

Support month-end and quarter-end processes by reviewing opportunity information for completeness and accuracy and helping resolve discrepancies that could impact financial reporting or the timing and accuracy of revenue recognition.

Escalate potential revenue recognition, accounting, or system-related issues to the appropriate Finance, Accounting, Salesforce, or IT teams for review and resolution.

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor opportunity accuracy, exceptions, outstanding items, and recurring data-quality issues.

Monitor recurring errors and trends, recommend process improvements, and help establish controls and procedures that improve Salesforce data quality and reduce recurring issues.

Serve as a business-facing Salesforce resource within Finance by communicating required corrections, providing guidance on opportunity management and data-entry practices, and helping users understand how Salesforce data impacts downstream Finance processes.

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field

Three (3) or more years experience in Sales Operations, Finance Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or a related role

Experience working within a Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations organization.



SKILLS

Hands-on experience working with Salesforce including creating or working with Salesforce reports and dashboards

Knowledge of reconciling Salesforce information against contracts, orders, or financial systems

Knowledge of revenue recognition, financial reporting, billing, or month-end/quarter-end close processes

Strong understanding of Salesforce opportunities and the sales opportunity lifecycle

Strong experience reviewing, auditing, or maintaining business data for accuracy and completeness

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales and Finance stakeholders

Strong comfortability working with reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and large datasets

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools

Ability to investigate discrepancies and work across teams to drive issues through resolution

Ability to manage multiple issues and follow-ups while meeting Finance deadlines
