Patient Scheduler St. Louis, MO (Onsite) $22.00 - $23.00 per hour Full-Time \| Monday-Friday \| 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Join a Growing Healthcare Support Team Are you an experienced healthcare customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a dedicated Patient Scheduler to support patients throughout the appointment scheduling and registration process. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, has exceptional communication skills, and can successfully manage a high volume of daily calls while maintaining accuracy and empathy. What You'll Do As a Patient Scheduler, you will play a critical role in connecting patients with the care they need by: * Scheduling patient appointments via phone and email * Managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls (65-80 calls daily) * Collecting and verifying patient demographics and insurance information * Obtaining referrals, authorizations, and required documentation * Processing physician referrals and coordinating urgent scheduling requests * Providing appointment reminders and patient outreach support * Assisting patients with insurance-related questions and financial assistance resources * Explaining billing processes and payment responsibilities * Maintaining scheduling accuracy and updating patient records * Working closely with clinical staff and healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient access * Assisting with account maintenance and resolving scheduling or registration issues What We're Looking For Required Experience * Experience handling 65-80 calls per day in a high-volume call center, patient access, scheduling, or healthcare customer service environment * Patient scheduling, registration, or healthcare support experience * Strong data entry and computer navigation skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting * Strong customer service skills with a patient-focused approach Preferred Qualifications * Insurance verification experience * Referral processing experience * Knowledge of medical billing practices * Familiarity with financial assistance programs * Experience using electronic scheduling systems and patient reminder platforms Why You'll Love This Opportunity Stable Monday-Friday schedule No direct patient-facing responsibilities Professional office environment Free monthly parking provided Business casual dress code (including jeans without rips) Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' healthcare experience Ready to Apply?
