What you will enjoy doing*
- Under limited supervision, performs installation,
maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems and equipment for site. Ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards. Experience with medium-voltage systems is a plus. - Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems and equipment up to 480V.
- Perform electrical installations including conduit runs, disconnects, panelboards, transfer switches, lighting systems, and communications cabling.
- Diagnose electrical issues, replace defective components, and test systems to ensure proper operation.
Complete preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with site maintenance programs and CMMS schedules. - Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable electrical codes, company policies, and client requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, equipment logs, and time reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of facility operations.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members and support facility projects as assigned.
- Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.
- Provide after-hours support for critical facility utility systems, including participation in an on-call rotation and responding to emergency outages during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
What makes you great
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum five (5) years of electrical experience in commercial and/or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical theory, and three-phase electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Experience performing electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience working on medium-voltage systems up to 4.16kV.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA lockout/tagout requirements
- Training and familiarity with arc-flash safety practices and PPE requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and industrial outdoor environments.
- Ability to walk construction sites and facility grounds for extended periods.
- Work may involve bending conduits, lifting heavy objects, climbing, working from elevations, standing, pulling, pushing, stooping, and/or kneeling for extended periods
