About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Messaging Platform team is at the heart of how Salesforce connects with millions of customers and prospects today. We're building an intelligent, agentic platform that powers and prioritizes 1:1 messaging at global scale for Salesforce's own Marketing team. As the internal "customer zero," we partner closely with marketing, core products, and data teams to deliver always-on, always-optimizing communications that drive growth, engagement, and trust. Our charter includes replatforming, enabling advanced targeting and personalization, and streamlining content orchestration across channels - not only laying the foundation for the next generation of messaging experiences, but building them.

This Role

The key focus for this role is to lead the design and launch of a new Campaign Brief Agent an AI-powered agent that transforms how marketers initiate and plan campaigns. This agent's core job is to produce the campaign design brief and bill of materials (BOM) defining audience, content, and journey requirements which serves as the structured input to a downstream orchestration layer that delegates to specialized agents. These agents will help transform our marketing team from hands-off keyboard to hands-on, enabling them to design, build, and launch highly engaging and targeted campaigns driving pipeline growth and revenue for Salesforce. As a Director of Product Management, you will strategize, design, build, and execute against a roadmap that you define with your engineering, data scientist, architecture, user experience, and marketing partners. This is a fast-moving area with significant visibility within the organization - we are looking for someone up to the challenge of delivering next generation marketing tools for one of the most agentic-forward enterprises in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and roadmap for the Campaign Brief Agent that orchestrates and delegates to specialized agents built for specific jobs to be done in the campaign design process

  • Translate business goals (e.g., retention vs. awareness) into agent interaction models and subscriber-centric campaign strategies in partnership with marketing, engineering, data science, and compliance

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: from ideation and technical scoping to launch and continuous iteration, including the interaction and delegation model between the Campaign Brief Agent and all downstream agents

  • Define standards for agent performance, reliability, safety, and guardrails - ensuring the system consistently produces high-quality, brand-safe, and effective campaign assets

  • Conduct in-depth customer interviews, analyze campaign performance data, and monitor the competitive landscape to identify pain points and unmet needs in the marketing campaign creation process

  • Collaborate with engineering and data teams to develop systems that consider engagement history, fatigue, inferred intent, journey state, and suppression rules

  • Develop explainability features that log and articulate agent handoffs, enabling transparency and trust across internal stakeholders

  • Measure performance of the agent using engagement lift, system accuracy, marketer confidence, and business outcomes

  • Act as a thought partner to internal stakeholders, helping them shift from hands-off marketers to hands-on-keyboard marketers

  • Evangelize the platform vision, gain alignment across teams, and drive adoption across all outbound messaging use cases

Required Skills/Experience

  • Product Management Expertise:8+ years of experience owning end-to-end product development in complex, data-driven systems - ideally in messaging, marketing tech, or personalization platforms

  • Systems Thinking: ability to design and reason about multi-agent architectures, orchestration models, and delegation logic at scale

  • Data Fluency: strong understanding of behavioral data, engagement signals, fatigue models, and targeting logic; comfortable working with data scientists and interpreting model outputs

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: deep empathy for the end recipient of messages and for the internal teams (marketers, compliance, operations) who rely on your platform

  • Execution Leadership: proven ability to drive projects from concept through launch with cross-functional teams including engineering, data science, compliance, and marketing

  • Communication & Influence: excellent written and verbal communication skills; impressive presentation skills and experience influencing audiences across levels and functions

  • Prioritization & Tradeoffs: skilled at balancing business objectives, subscriber experience, and technical feasibility in high-stakes environments

  • Experience with Messaging Systems (nice to have): familiarity with journey orchestration tools, messaging APIs, campaign management, or customer engagement platforms

Other

  • This position is based in San Francisco requires a flexible work schedule to support collaboration across North American time zones

  • Travel is expected to be less than 15%
