We are seeking an Assistant Designer to support the development and execution of commercially relevant product within an intimates/lingerie design team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented designer with strong CAD and technical skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Assistant Designer will provide hands-on design and administrative support across CAD development, line sheets, tech packs, PLM, Bills of Materials (BOMs), samples, trend research, and seasonal presentations. The team frequently shifts between projects and priorities, so adaptability, autonomy, and strong organizational skills are essential.

This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office, with some weeks requiring four to five days onsite depending on meetings, deadlines, and deliverables.

What You'll Do

  • Support the design team in developing brand-right, commercially viable product across seasonal collections.
  • Create and update flat sketches, CADs, and technical design artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Color CADs and create brushes, print fills, patterns, and other artwork needed for product development.
  • Maintain and update line sheets in Adobe InDesign, ensuring product and design information is accurate and organized.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of tech packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product information within PLM systems.
  • Support style pass-offs and communicate development details with cross-functional partners, including Technical Design, Production, Merchandising, and external vendors.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of lingerie/intimates construction, proportion, fit, fabrics, trims, and product details.
  • Partner with Technical Design on prototype execution, fittings, construction updates, and necessary follow-up.
  • Track, organize, steam, and maintain development samples, ensuring samples are available for meetings and delivered to the appropriate partners.
  • Create and maintain seasonal fabric, color, trend, and inspiration boards.
  • Conduct trend and competitive research and translate findings into mood boards, concepts, and design direction.
  • Prepare materials and samples for routine meetings, milestone reviews, and presentations.
  • Support custom requests, special projects, and other design needs as priorities evolve.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to an efficient, positive team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Entry-level to early-career design experience; recent graduates may be considered with relevant portfolio work and technical knowledge.
  • Previous experience, coursework, internships, or portfolio work specifically involving lingerie, intimates, bras, or closely related product categories.
  • Strong understanding of lingerie construction and garment development.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong CAD skills, including flat sketch development, coloring CADs, print/pattern fills, and a strong eye for proportion and detail.
  • Working knowledge of tech packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Experience working within a PLM system; Centric experience is a plus.
  • Ability to clearly communicate garment construction and product specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage tasks and follow through on deliverables.
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative with the broader team.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

What Will Help You Stand Out

  • Portfolio examples demonstrating strong CAD and technical design work.
  • Experience creating or maintaining tech packs and BOMs.
  • Strong knowledge of intimates/lingerie construction, fit, fabrication, and proportion.
  • Advanced Illustrator skills, including creating brushes, print fills, patterns, and detailed product CADs.
  • Experience maintaining line sheets and presentation materials in Adobe InDesign.
  • Hands-on experience with PLM/Centric.
  • Ability to balance creative design support with detailed administrative and product-development responsibilities.
  • A dynamic, passionate, collaborative, trustworthy, and team-oriented approach.
