Job Summary Are you a highly organized, patient-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment? Join our Physiatry team as a Clinic/Practice Assistant and play an important role in creating a smooth, welcoming experience for patients, providers, and care teams.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 40 hours per week. About the Role In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of a busy clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities. You will help keep schedules moving, assist patients with appointments and check-in/check-out needs, coordinate records and documentation, and serve as a key point of contact for patients and internal teams. What You'll Do *Make and maintain patient appointments while helping ensure schedules are accurate and efficient. *Greet and assist patients, creating a positive and professional first impression. *Answer phone calls, respond to routine inquiries, take messages, and help patients navigate appointment needs. *Support check-in and check-out processes and assist with administrative needs related to patient visits. *File, scan, print, fax, and organize documents related to patient care and practice operations. *Process billing forms, co-payments when required, and documentation for the medical record. *Request patient medical records, laboratory results, and other information needed by the care team. *Open and distribute mail or faxes and type forms, records, schedules, memos, and other materials as directed. *Assist with messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results. *Serve as a resource for scheduling, registration, and billing systems, including providing support or training to others as needed. *Perform more complex or specialized functions, such as surgical scheduling or schedule changes, as appropriate for the department.
