What to Expect

The Inventory Control Analyst owns systematic inventory accuracy so the factory can build without interruption. You will investigate variances at the root, keep ERP/MRP/WMS/MES records true to the floor, and close process gaps with warehouse, production, planning, quality, engineering, logistics, and purchasing.

This role is both analytical and operational: daily transactions and cycle counts, BOM-driven discrepancy work, leadership reporting, and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) compliance with 3PL partners.

What You'll Do
  • Monitor inventory levels, transactions, and cycle counts across ERP, MRP, WMS, and MES; execute daily transactions so leadership and the line have real-time, reliable data
  • Investigate misidentified, out-of-balance, or problem records; complete root-cause analysis and put preventive actions in place so issues do not recur
  • Support physical inventories, system audits, internal controls, and audit readiness
  • Analyze inventory trends, aging, excess/obsolete stock, shortage risk, EBOM/MBOM structure and changes, and how they drive inventory and transaction errors; recommend actions that reduce waste and protect production
  • Develop and maintain inventory KPIs, dashboards, and reports for leadership visibility
  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, warehouse, and production on min/max, safety stock, material availability, material flow, location accuracy, and transaction compliance; identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement that strengthens inventory integrity and factory readiness
  • Train cross-functional teams on inventory best practices and system standards; act as liaison on FTZ operations and work with 3PL partners to ensure bonded and domestic goods are properly identified, handled, and received into the zone

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Finance, Math, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations, or manufacturing supply chain, including experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP/WMS fundamentals (Material Master, Inventory Control) and ability to read/analyze EBOM/MBOM structure and engineering/manufacturing changes
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis); proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets; aptitude to learn new systems quickly
  • Proven root-cause investigation, discrepancy resolution, and clear written/verbal communication, with high attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced factory
  • Command of English, written and verbal
  • Preferred: High-volume automotive/vehicle manufacturing; hands-on MES transactions; lean manufacturing, cycle-count methodology, and inventory accuracy metrics (IAR, location accuracy, variance aging); dashboards/visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent); FIFO/FEFO, lot/serial tracking, and excess & obsolete management; FTZ, bonded vs. domestic inventory, and 3PL operations
