Position Title: CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer
Wage: $30.00-$45.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday QPS Employment Group is looking for an experienced CNC Set Up Machinist to join a growing job shop in the Ixonia area. This is a hands-on role for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands G and M code, and can make on-the-fly edits to ensure quality and accuracy. CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate CNC machines according to production requirements - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions - Make program edits using G and M code to improve part quality or process efficiency - Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges - Troubleshoot setup and machining issues, maintaining optimal machine performance - Work collaboratively with team members in a job shop environment to meet production goals CNC Set Up Machinist/Programmer Requirements: - 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience preferred - Strong knowledge of G and M code; ability to make edits independently - Programming experience is a plus but not required - Proficient in blueprint reading and use of precision measuring instruments - Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement - Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic IND103 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
