Position Title: Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Machine Operator Responsibilities: - Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines such as extrusion saws, miter saws, punch presses, flat bed lasers, and age ovens - Monitor machinery and products to ensure proper operation and quality standards are maintained - Remove metal burrs or rough edges using hand files, scrapers, or automated deburring tools to ensure proper fit and finish of parts - Perform machine shop and mold press operations to support assembly processes - Detect and report defective materials or issues with equipment to supervisors - Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following safety protocols at all times Requirements for Machine Operator: - Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds using team lifts for heavier items - Ability to work in uncontrolled environments with temperature fluctuations, dust, mist, and elevated noise levels - Capable of reading and interpreting safety rules, work instructions, and control panels in English - Strong attention to detail with the ability to document product and quality data accurately - Basic math skills including counting and converting fractions to decimals (e.g., 1/2 = 0.50) QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
