Position Title: Material Handler

Material Handler Responsibilities: - Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, stack, and retrieve materials - Sort and categorize various material handling and storage products according to established guidelines and standards - Accurately identify products and materials, verifying their quality, quantity, and proper labeling - Properly band, label, store, and arrange materials in designated storage areas, ensuring accessibility and efficient space utilization - Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks, and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor - Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of materials, safe forklift operation, and the use of personal protective equipment - Perform routine inspections on forklifts and other equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisor - Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, material identification, and storage locations - Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow Requirements for Material Handler: - Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified - Ability to operate and read industrial scales and tape measures - Ability to do basic math such as counting, adding, and subtracting - Ability to work and communicate well to others - Ability to work both receiving and order fulfillment - High school diploma or equivalent job experience required - Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift - Ability to work in a loud noisy environment - Ability to work outdoors in the weather elements QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
