Low Voltage Cable Technician - Structured Cabling & Data Center Kings Point, NY Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Cable Technician in Kings Point, NY! Responsibilities: Install Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling and fiber (single-mode and multi-mode) Terminate and test copper and fiber connections, including LC and MPO connectors Dress and organize cables using proper wire management, including cable trays and ladder racks Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other hardware Accurately label cables and components to maintain clean documentation Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and network diagrams Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety Work independently or lead small crews depending on experience level Requirements: 1-5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial or data center environments Proven experience with structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6 required; fiber experience preferred) Experience with terminations, testing, and troubleshooting is a plus Familiarity with telecom and data network infrastructure BICSI, OSHA, or Lift certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel toe boots) Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in a team or independently Why Work with Next Level Technician in Kings Point, NY?
