Glaukos - Buyer How will you make an impact?

As a Buyer II, you will play a key role in supporting new product introductions by partnering with R&D, Clinical, and Pilot Operations teams to source materials and services that enable innovation and operational success. You will help build strong supplier relationships, optimize inventory strategies, and ensure a reliable supply chain to support business objectives.

What will you do?

  • Partner with R&D, Clinical, and Pilot Operations teams to understand sourcing requirements for new product introductions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of meeting short-term project needs and long-term operational, quality, and business requirements.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend alternative suppliers or sourcing strategies when appropriate.
  • Create and manage purchase orders within the ERP system and maintain accurate supplier and item master data.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including pricing discussions, supply agreements, and ongoing performance support.
  • Analyze supplier capacity, market conditions, and potential risks to help ensure continuity of supply.
  • Support supplier quality audits and compliance activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with demand planning teams to manage product ramp-ups and phase-outs while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain operations.

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • Ability to work successfully within a quality system and regulated environment.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
