Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or vocational training in manufacturing, industrial technology, electronics, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, drawings, and production documentation.


Experience Requirements



  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Exposure to extrusion, cable manufacturing, fiber optics, or similar production processes is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills with experience entering production data and maintaining electronic records.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn new processes and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Proficiency with basic math, including fractions, decimals, measurements, conversions, and calculations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Dedication to workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.


Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.
  • Ability to work safely around production machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate equipment and perform inspections.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following all safety procedures.


Job Duties



  • Set up, operate, monitor, and adjust cable manufacturing equipment and supporting machinery.
  • Support production processes including extrusion, braiding, stranding, re-spooling, bobbin winding, packaging, and product testing.
  • Monitor product quality, material usage, spool winding, print quality, and process performance during production runs.
  • Review work orders, production specifications, drawings, and process requirements.
  • Perform product inspections and testing to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Enter and maintain accurate production, quality, and operational data within company systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures while supporting overall production goals.
