Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical training in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
Experience Requirements
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment preferred.
- Strong experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, motor controls, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience managing preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and work order systems.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability.
- Able to travel to other locations within the US and Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, ladder logic, I/O diagnostics, and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and industrial safety practices.
- Experience working with CMMS software and maintenance planning systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Experience supporting equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment around moving machinery and equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime, respond to occasional after-hours issues, and travel as needed.
Job Duties
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily maintenance activities to support production goals.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment by analyzing ladder logic, verifying I/O functions, diagnosing faults, and restoring equipment operation.
- Diagnose and repair VFDs, servo drives, motor control systems, and industrial automation equipment.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment documentation using CMMS software.
- Investigate recurring equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Enforce OSHA, LOTO, machine guarding, and company safety standards.
- Coordinate spare parts inventory and support purchasing activities for maintenance materials.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
- Assist with equipment installations, capital projects, upgrades, and startup activities.
