The Parts Identification Specialist III provides timely replacement parts information to customers using various resources including replacement parts lists and product engineering and product documentation catalogues. This role partners closely with Parts Distributors, Representatives, Factory Service Offices, Service Alliance Partners, Direct Sales Offices, TRC, and internal stakeholders to accurately identify replacement parts for more than 50 years of Daikin Applied equipment and legacy brand products. The successful candidate leverages deep technical expertise, strong customer service skills, and advanced problem-solving abilities to deliver timely and effective solutions while serving as a mentor and subject matter expert within the team. Location: Remote, MN Preferred with going into office on occasion

What you will do:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive parts identification support to customers and business partners through email, CRM cases, and other communication channels
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor for team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and take ownership of implementing and communicating enhancements
  • Proactively anticipate challenges, investigate solutions, and recommend actions to improve service and operational efficiency
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and team development through training sessions, coaching, and dedicated office hours
  • Collaborate with Replacement Parts Analysts to maintain accurate parts documentation and improve data quality
  • Document, track, and archive parts identification requests and resolutions
  • Develop replacement solutions and equipment upgrade recommendations for installed products that no longer meet customer requirements or expectations
  • Effectively prioritize field requests based on urgency, business impact, and customer needs, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly
  • Support team workload balancing by assisting with requests assigned across the Parts Identification group
  • Partner with ISC and, when required, third-party suppliers to obtain technical information related to assemblies, modifications, obsolete components, and replacement recommendations
  • Maintain expertise in current and emerging products through continuous learning and technical training programs
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Daikin Applied products, legacy equipment, and replacement part applications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in a technical support, technical service, or related customer-facing technical role
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to a variety of audiences
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of relevant technical support, parts identification, or HVAC industry experience
  • Previous HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical systems, or applied equipment knowledge
  • Experience working with product documentation, technical drawings, bills of materials, and CRM systems
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and drive continuous improvement initiatives

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from$31.73- $52.29 in MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
