Overview NaphCare is seeking to hire an experienced Licensed Social Worker Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LMHP, LMSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC) to join our team of medical professionals at the Middlesex County Jail in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Previous experience working with youth/juvenile populations is required for this position. This is a full-time, 8-hour day shift position supporting both our juvenile and adult patient populations. Each week, approximately 20 hours will be spent providing mental health services to the juvenile population and 20 hours supporting the adult population. New Compensation Rates! Pay rates range from $47.37-$50.00/hr based on experience and site needs. As a Correctional Licensed Social Worker Mental Health Counselor, you will work alongside correctional officers and other healthcare professionals to provide counseling and mental health services to individuals in our care. You will support patients with a variety of complex behavioral health, mental health, and medical needs while working within a safe, structured correctional environment. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced mental health professional who is comfortable working with both juvenile and adult populations and is looking to make a meaningful impact within correctional healthcare. Responsibilities Job Duties / Responsibilities The Licensed Social Worker Mental Health Counselor is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in residence with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and behavioral issues ensuring they receive quality care that protects their rights, dignity and health. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Collaborating with medical, mental health and correctional staff to enhance quality patient care while maintaining a safe and secure work environment

Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
