Center for Family and Policy Research The University of Missouri Center for Family and Policy Research is located within the Department of Human Development and Family Science. The Center was established in 1997 to serve as a resource for the development of effective public policies relating to children, youth, and families, with a focus on integration of research, policy, and practice. More information about the Center for Family and Policy Research can be found at https://hdfs.missouri.edu/cfpr/. Job Description
The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) and its affiliated Center for Family Policy and Research (CFPR) at the University of Missouri are seeking applicants for two Postdoctoral Fellows with interests in gerontology, dyadic health science, cognitive functioning, and/or sleep. The Postdoctoral Fellows will join Dr. Eunjin Tracy, Dr. Megan Gilligan, and Dr. Hanamori Skoblow on NIH-funded research focused on sleep and cognitive performance in older couples. Postdoctoral Fellows will primarily focus on secondary analysis of the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), manuscript preparation, and project management for a recently funded NIH/NIA R01 award. We are particularly interested in candidates who have strong quantitative research skills, including demonstrated experience working with the HRS or other large-scale complex longitudinal datasets. Fellows will lead their own first-author manuscripts and conference presentations and contribute as co-authors on papers led by other members of the research team, with mentorship from all three investigators. Fellows are encouraged to develop their own research questions from the data, and will receive grant-writing training and support in preparing fellowship or career development applications. Fellows will be able to participate in the activities and programs in the Department of HDFS, CFPR, and other programs at the University of Missouri consistent with their interests. The earliest state date is January 1, 2027. These are two-year positions with the possibility of a third year, contingent upon funding availability and the Postdoctoral Fellow's successful performance. Qualifications
