Compensation for this role is 79,000-90,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

As the Senior HRIS Analyst, Time & Absence (Workday) at RXO, you will be responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of Workday Time Tracking and Absence. You will partner closely with Human Resources, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate system configuration, data integrity, reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role serves as a subject matter expert and plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the employee experience and support business objectives.

This role will be based on-site Monday-Thursday, work from home on Friday, at our office in Chicago, IL office located at 2545 W. Diversey Pkwy, 3rd Fl.
Chicago, IL 60647.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Time Tracking and Absence, including eligibility rules, accruals, schedules, calculations, and business processes.

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

  • Support Workday releases, enhancements, testing activities, and implementation projects.

  • Maintain system documentation, process maps, configuration records, and standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with U.S., Canada, and Mexico wage and employment requirements.

  • Partner with Payroll to administer time-off plans, earnings code mappings, and payroll-related issue resolution.

  • Perform audits, reconciliations, mass updates, and data correction activities to ensure workforce data accuracy.

  • Support SOX controls, data governance initiatives, and compliance requirements.

  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics to support HR and business decision-making.

  • Analyze workforce data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Support payroll audits, reporting, and reconciliation activities.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and system optimization.

  • Gather business requirements and recommend scalable HR technology solutions.

  • Participate in Workday implementations, integrations, upgrades, and enhancement projects.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment activities, change management initiatives, and end-user training.

  • Serve as a resource for users by providing guidance on Workday functionality, reporting, and best practices.

What you'll need to excel:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.

  • 5+ years of HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or HR technology experience.

  • Experience supporting Workday Time Tracking and Absence.

  • Experience with Workday reporting, business process configuration, and security administration.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, and talent management processes.

  • Experience with Workday implementations, upgrades, or integrations.

  • Workday certification(s).

  • Experience in a SOX-compliant or publicly traded environment.

  • Strong understanding of HR data governance and compliance requirements.

  • Project management and process improvement experience.

  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
