Job Summary:

The Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting manages the full-life cycle of all assigned finance and accounting outsource engagements for Government Contracting clients. Responsibilities include proposal development, staff assignment and oversight, final work product review and overall portfolio financial performance. In addition, the Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting will be responsible for client relationship management including regularly meeting with the client and assigned staff, reporting financial information, and making financial management recommendations, timely billing, and resolution of client issues.

Job Duties:

* Understands and works on all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, indirect rate calculation, and GovCon project accounting
* Manages monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepares GAAP-compliant financial statements
* Ensures accurate revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GovCon regulations
* Ensures compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations while maintaining a DCAA-compliant accounting system
* Oversees and calculates indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support
* Oversees project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and project closeout
* Monitors contract funding, financial performance, and project costs to ensure contract compliance and profitability
* Leads budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis to support executive decision-making and operational improvements

Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Serves as a member of the client's consulting group team
* Supervises, develops, and trains Associates and Senior Associates
* Reviews and evaluates work prepared by Associates and Senior Associates
* Trains Associates and Senior Associates on how to use current software tools and GovCon methodology
* Provides verbal and written performance feedback to Associates and Senior Associates

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, required

Experience
* Six (6) or more years of progressive accounting experience, including three (3) or more years of leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment, required

License(s)/Certification(s)
* CPA or CPA candidate, preferred

Software
* Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, required
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, required
* Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS, and other government contractor ERP systems, preferred

* N/A

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements, government contract accounting, and indirect rates
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically business / report writing
* Strong analytical and basic research skills
* Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details
* Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment
* Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to follow and apply specific rules and regulations
* Ability to work with minimal supervision

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $125,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $125,000
