Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Environmental Medicine Job Description
The University of Missouri School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time faculty position within its Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Environmental Medicine. This position offers a diverse clinical practice that includes inpatient critical care, pulmonary consultation services, outpatient continuity clinics, and opportunities to develop specialty clinical interests in an inpatient and outpatient setting, while participating in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students within a collaborative academic environment. The division includes more than 20 faculty members and supports a fully accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program. Faculty benefit from strong interdisciplinary partnerships, robust clinical and research programs, and access to MU Health Care's integrated system of hospitals and specialty clinics. The division plays a key role in supporting a high-volume critical care service, including a 36-bed intensive care unit with dedicated nocturnist coverage and limited backup call responsibilities. Protected time is incorporated into faculty schedules to support academic productivity, scholarly activity, and professional development.
