Job Summary

Develops, troubleshoots and maintains custom software applications & data interfaces. Uses purchased vendor applications (online forms, digital signage, etc.) to meet customer needs. Participates in the development & maintenance of the GCC public website & intranet sites. Uses the District standard ticketing system. Represents the College Applications Services Department on Office of Information Technology (OIT) project teams and GCC College committees.

Essential Functions

30% - Analyzes, evaluates, designs, develops, implements and maintains system software and software applications

20% - Uses purchased vendor applications (online forms, digital signage, etc.) to meet customer needs.

15% - Responds to and works to resolve customer concerns

10% - Participates on cross functional project teams

10% - Develops and updates documentation & training materials

10% - Works to ensure digital accessibility of GCC custom applications and websites

5% - Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology, computer science, information science, engineering (any discipline), business (any discipline), computer programming, applied computing, software development, data science, database administration, mathematics (any discipline), statistics, cybersecurity, information security, network security, web development, database management, physics, economics, quantitative science, quantitative reasoning, logic and computation, or a related field and two (2) years of technical experience in programming, systems analysis, and/or design and development of system software and applications. 

OR

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in any discipline, with a concentration (minor) or certificate (undergraduate or graduate) in a relevant/related discipline as listed above, or with an industry certification related to information technology work, and two (2) years of technical experience in programming, systems analysis, and/or the design and development of system software and applications. 

Desired Qualifications

A. 1 (One) year of Application development experience using PHP, HTML, CSS and MS SQL databases

B. 1 (One) year of Drupal experience with front end administration and content creation

C. 1 (One) year creating Web Applications using Bootstrap or similar frameworks 

D. 1 (One) year experience of version control using GIT / GitHub 

E. 1 (One) year of Web application digital accessibility, WCAG Compliance & related Webpage evaluation tools 

F. 1 (One) year experience using Dynamic Forms or a comparable online form creation tool 

G. One year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two years

Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment
