Job Summary
This position is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality, well-balanced meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, managing food inventory, and ensuring timely meal preparation for both daily service and special catering events. The Cook consistently follows proper sanitation procedures and incorporates sustainable practices in all aspects of food handling. Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork are essential for success in this position. Essential Functions
40% - Prepares and cooks food items for breakfast, lunch, and catering services in accordance with established recipes and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications
Completion of formal or informal education or experience which assures the ability to successfully complete the job duties as described and two (2) years of experience in an institutional kitchen or commercial food preparation establishment. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation. A. Excellent customer service skills. Special Working Conditions
May require some evening/weekend hours; may require lifting up to 50 lbs; ability to remain standing for extended periods of time. Must have a current Maricopa County Food Handler's Card or the ability to obtain one. How to Apply
