Job Description

The Supervisor, Warehouse leads daily execution of warehouse activities including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, staging, and shipping coordination. The role is operational and executionfocused, emphasizing work prioritization, floor leadership, issue resolution, and coaching, while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
This position includes direct supervisory responsibility for Warehouse Associates, Material Handlers, or Forklift Operators and typically reports to a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, or Operations Leader (M2-M3).

Responsibilities

  • Works with other supervisors to set priorities, schedule Sales orders, and expedite work in shop, as needed machine shop and paint orders

  • Manages output of stockroom and rebalances staffing as needed

  • Controls material master for stocking levels, makes adjustments to MTO and MTS indicators, and calculate safety stock.

  • Approve inventory adjustments to meet corporate inventory turn goals, as needed.

  • Reviews stocking levels and releases excess orders as required for Drive Systems

  • Assists Master Scheduler with scheduling large orders

  • Supervises/administers Cycle Count Program and performs Cycle Count data entry (adjustments)

  • Compiles data and creates reports to effectively manage inventory to maintain service level at appropriate targets

  • Reviews and Coordinates programs to improve cost profit ratios, improve material availability, reduce inventory and to train & staff the facilities

  • Schedules Drive Products and Drive Systems orders to meet customer required dates

  • Schedules MRP/SIC Inventory and maintains appropriate inventory levels required to achieve expected service levels and meet financial objectives of the organization

  • Processes electronic requests for material (EREQs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), as needed

  • Research/processes miscellaneous Inventory Adjustments required to maintain inventory accuracy

  • Participates in daily GEMBA Walk and provides root cause analysis and corrective actions for inventory stock-outs/issues

  • Interfaces with Purchasing, Engineering and Contracts as needed with regards to new product introductions and changing Customer requirements

  • Participate/Lead in 3Q6S events

  • Serve as a back-up for the Master Scheduler and /Scheduler, as needed Encoder and Systems Supervisor

  • Other duties as assigned

Learning Period

  • 3-6 months

Working Conditions

  • Standard office environment, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

  • OSHA compliant manufacturing facility

  • Full-time, typical work day is 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday, some extended hours as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • APEX Certification a plus

  • Tow Motor
