We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Inspector to join our team at Endress+Hauser Flow, USA. As the initial Quality team member supporting a growing 2nd shift, this role will help establish consistent inspection support, timely communication, and quality-focused decision making during expanded production hours. This position plays a key role in our mission to build a world-class manufacturing organization and ensures the reliability and efficiency of our operations focused on our customers.

What is the role about?

As part of the Quality and Continuous Improvement department, this role supports daily inspection activities that help manufacturing fulfill customer orders accurately and on schedule. This role will help establish reliable Quality support for a growing 2nd shift operation by addressing inspection needs, supporting production needs, escalating quality concerns, and ensure shift activities align with established standards and customer expectations.

The role also contributes to continuous improvement by monitoring department processes, supporting cross-functional activities, and assisting with compliance audits.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Inspect components before releasing them to stock
  • Create non-conformance reports and support timely resolution
  • Communicate quality notifications to local and global suppliers
  • Coordinate material dispositions with the Material Review Board
  • Collect measurement data for First Article Inspection reports
  • Provide guidance on inspection methods to other inspectors
  • Document inspection activities in standard operating procedures
  • Support department inspection of workload and process audits
  • Represent Quality in cross-functional activities and team engagements
  • Communicate inspection status, quality concerns, and shift handoff information to ensure alignment between 1st and 2nd shift teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What do we expect from you?

You:

  • Knowledge of common hand tools, shop equipment, and inspection tools.
  • Familiarity with using and maintaining dimensional inspection gauges.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and a good working knowledge of GD&T
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Associates degree or related technical degree and 5+ years' experience in a quality role in manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound quality decisions, and escalate concerns appropriately when additional support is needed.
  • Regularly required to sit and walk
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional stooping or bending activities and pushing carts
