AMSOIL Industrial is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Technical Account Specialist in our greater Detroit MI, Ohio, Illinois markets.


We're looking for a relationship-driven professional who is comfortable in manufacturing environments, enjoys learning how equipment and processes work, and knows how to ask the right questions to uncover customer needs. You'll support customers and sales representatives by troubleshooting issues, monitor equipment and lubricant performance, collect samples, and identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and operational efficiency while delivering outstanding customer experience.

You'll work closely with customers and sales representatives to provide technical support, resolve challenges, monitor machine and tool performance, collect and evaluate samples, and identify opportunities for improvement. By understanding customer processes, asking the right questions, and delivering exceptional service, you'll help strengthen customer relationships while driving long-term success for both our customers and AMSOIL.



What you will own:



  • Building and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective industrial customers.
  • Serve as a trusted partner by understanding customer goals, challenges, and technical requirements.
  • Support sales growth initiatives by promoting AMSOIL Industrial products and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of industrial applications, products, and customer needs to effectively communicate value.
  • Act as a primary liaison between customer accounts and internal teams, including Business Development, Product Development, and Integrated Marketing.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support business development strategies.
  • Manage account activity, customer interactions, and sales opportunities using CRM tools.
  • Lead and support projects that contribute to territory and account growth objectives.
  • Help ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.



What you bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, technical sales, customer support, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, ask thoughtful questions, and gather information to identify effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and priorities.
  • Confidently work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and common business software.
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing, industrial operations, maintenance, reliability, or related environments.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50% (initial training period will include additional travel requirements).



Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.



Compensation That Reflects Your Value:

Pay Range: Salary: $64,800 - $76,200 Final compensation will be determined based on relevant education, experience, skills, qualifications and overall alignment with the role.
