We are hiring an IT Support Analyst Tier 1 in Saint Paul. This role is the first point of contact for employees who need IT help. The position is hybrid, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. Some travel to sites across the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota is required.

Experience with ticket management, computer hardware, and basic network support is preferred. Strong organization and communication skills are important for managing support requests and keeping users informed.

Primary Responsibilities for this position include:



  • Provide day-to-day helpdesk-based troubleshooting and technical support for LSS staff in support of agency services.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain workstation hardware, operating systems, and connectivity used by LSS staff and functional areas.
  • Manage and maintain desktop application software.
  • Perform other projects as assigned.
  • Provide workstation-related technical expertise to a state-wide network comprised of over 2500 staff at 13 networked and over 200 standalone sites. This includes approximately 1000 mobile (laptop) staff. Staffs connect to the network in a variety of ways which adds significant complexity to the support function.


Job Requirements:



  • Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ or those approved by the Director if IT Services are required.
  • Professional interpersonal abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to construct and perform tasks to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer support role is required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid Driver's License


The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors of Information Technology (preferred)
Associates of Information Technology (preferred)
Experience
2 years: IT Support, Desktop Technician Support or similar preferred. (preferred)
