A Day in the Life

The Cloud Senior Engineer is responsible for supporting complex engineering initiatives across the Microsoft cloud environment, with a primary focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, the Power Platform, and related Microsoft cloud technologies, ensuring alignment between technical execution and business objectives. This role helps design, develop, test and support solutions while managing risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes across multiple initiatives. The Cloud Senior Engineer contributes technical expertise to assigned initiatives while continuously improving skills and delivery effectiveness.

  • Leads end-to-end delivery of complex Microsoft cloud solutions and initiatives, including Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical standards, quality expectations, and delivery outcomes.
  • Establishes and enforces engineering standards, development methodologies, governance practices, and security requirements across the Microsoft cloud environment.
  • Oversees solution architecture and design to ensure scalability, reliability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Guides the integration of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, and third-party applications through APIs and connected technologies.
  • Partners with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and engineering teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Plans, prioritizes, and coordinates cross-functional engineering teams and workstreams across the Microsoft cloud portfolio to achieve successful delivery outcomes.
  • Monitors delivery performance and proactively manages risks, dependencies, technical challenges, competing priorities, and complex delivery issues to meet timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Drives continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, DevOps/ALM capabilities, and delivery proesses.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and recognized subject matter expert within the Microsoft cloud and Dynamics CRM domain.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops engineers, building team capability, technical expertise, and succession readiness.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration, accountability, quality, and high performance.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering, technical delivery, or Microsoft cloud solution development roles.
  • Hands-on experience delivering solutions across the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages), Azure, and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering initiatives and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions in Agile or iterative environments.
  • Experience with source control management, branching strategies, release governance, and deployment processes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, AI-assisted development tools, and AI-powered solution development within the Microsoft ecosystem preferred.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep knowledge of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 CRM, Dataverse, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages), Azure services, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration, security, scalability, reliability, governance, and enterprise application design principles.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, authentication and authorization concepts, and integration patterns utilizing REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
  • Knowledge of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering techniques, responsible AI practices, and AI-powered capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Copilot technologies.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions leveraging Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform, Azure, and related services.
  • Skill in establishing and enforcing engineering standards, development best practices, source control strategies, release governance, DevOps/ALM processes, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage risks, dependencies, technical trade-offs, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineers while fostering technical excellence, continuous improvement, accountability, and high-performance team culture.
  • Commitment to delivering secure, high-quality solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, governance standards, and organizational priorities.

Compensation

$120,000-$155,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive andequitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
