**Remote Position, but with 50% travel needed**

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations for OPW, the Senior Operational Excellence Manager is responsible for developing, driving, and championing a Continuous Improvement environment, manufacturing transformation and business results by facilitating process improvement initiatives across OPW's global business units.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide mentorship and leadership across OPW locations related to Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement best practices and help drive targeted initiatives at designated locations.

  • Work with employees at all levels of the organization to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Mentor operations leadership to drive empowered culture to drive excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

  • Know, understand and champion Daily Visual Management methodology and execution:

    • Train/Coach/Mentor employees at all levels of the organization on the tools and methods that support a continuous improvement culture.

  • Conduct specific training on the use of continuous improvement process tools and develop green/black belt expertise through OPW:

    • Process Mapping / Value Stream Design

    • Standard Work

    • A3 problem solving

    • 5S and visual management

    • Plan For Every Part (PFEP)

    • Sales and Inventory Planning

    • Additional tools as identified

  • Develop KPI's for monitoring and reporting CI initiatives and activities monthly.

  • Function as a project manager for large scale cross functional process improvement projects.

  • Work with sites to develop project plans including timelines, budget, scope and requirements and execution of such plans including training and transitioning to end user departments.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities that are linked to business goal results.

  • Demonstrate results through performance measurement and analysis.

  • Liaison between Dover corporate and OPW to secure resources to advance OPW operations.

  • Liaison with plant operations to develop and execute three-year CI roadmaps utilizing Value Stream Design.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required

  • Minimum of 5 years in an Operations or Continuous Improvement role

  • Project management experience

  • Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement in an operations/manufacturing environment is required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Project) is required; familiarity with PowerPoint preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 75%)

  • Proven record of internal and external customer orientation with a results-driven mindset

  • Commitment to continuous learning and development, with formal Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
