JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Enterprise Resilience Engineer designs, automates, and continuously improves the organization's backup, restore, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery capabilities. This role engineers repeatable recovery outcomes across enterprise and cloud environments by integrating data protection platforms, infrastructure automation, orchestration, and AI-assisted runbook management.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and engineer resilient data protection, restore, disaster recovery, and cyber recovery solutions that meet defined recovery time and recovery point objectives for critical services.
* Automate and orchestrate end-to-end recovery scenarios, including dependency sequencing, validation, failover/failback, and evidence capture, using APIs, workflow engines, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration automation.
* Develop and maintain recovery automation using Terraform, Ansible, scripting, and native cloud services; apply engineering standards, source control, peer review, and reusable modules to recovery infrastructure and workflows.
* Integrate Commvault, Rubrik, and other relevant data protection, cloud, security, and monitoring platforms through APIs to coordinate backup, restore, and cyber recovery activities.
* Engineer and operate Oracle Cloud Infrastructure recovery capabilities, including disaster recovery orchestration solutions such as OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery (FSDR), resilient network and identity patterns, and recovery environments for cloud-native and traditional workloads.
* Establish and continuously improve recovery runbooks, using AI-assisted techniques where appropriate to identify drift, maintain documentation, generate test evidence, surface gaps, and improve recovery decision support while retaining human review and approval.
* Plan, execute, and document recovery tests, tabletop exercises, and cyber recovery simulations; analyze results, remediate gaps, and report readiness, risks, and improvement priorities in collaboration with Business Continuity and Security Operations teams to technical and business stakeholders.
* Partner with application, infrastructure, security, risk, and business continuity teams to define recoverability requirements, validate dependencies, and embed resilience into technology lifecycle and change-management processes.
* Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments to deliver secure, reliable, and customer-focused recovery services.
* Ensure compliance with applicable security, privacy, regulatory, and organizational requirements, including HIPAA, SOX, SOC1, SOC2 and HITRUST requirements where applicable.
* Demonstrate the Company's core competencies and values. The responsibilities above are not all-inclusive; other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be required or assigned as necessary.

JOB SCOPE:
This senior individual-contributor role operates with substantial independence and technical judgment across enterprise platforms and recovery domains. The incumbent translates business resilience objectives into executable engineering patterns, automated recovery workflows, measurable testing practices, and maintained runbooks. The role influences architecture and operational decisions across application, infrastructure, security, cloud, and data protection teams; escalates material recovery risks; and recommends prioritized investments to improve recovery readiness and cyber resilience.
The position does not have direct people-management responsibility, but may provide technical leadership, mentoring, standards, and delivery direction to engineers, administrators, and project teams supporting resilience initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
* Eight or more years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, data protection, disaster recovery, site reliability, cloud engineering, or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience designing and operating backup, restore, disaster recovery, and/or cyber recovery capabilities for business-critical systems.
* Experience building automation with technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, scripting languages, leveraging product APIs and source-control-based engineering practices.
* Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cloud networking, identity and access management, AI tools, and infrastructure recovery concepts.
* Ability to translate recovery objectives and application dependencies into technical workflows, test plans, runbooks, and measurable recovery outcomes.
* Strong analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and incident-response skills.
* Demonstrated experience, skill and confidence leading technical discussions and developing and delivering presentations to stakeholders and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Commvault and/or Rubrik, including API-driven integrations, workflow automation, cyber recovery, immutable backup, and recovery validation capabilities.
* Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and OCI Full Stack Disaster Recovery (FSDR), as well as with the recovery of Oracle databases, Exadata, WebLogic, Kubernetes, Linux and Windows virtual machines, Active Directory, M365 and/or other enterprise workload recovery patterns.
* Experience implementing recovery orchestration, clean-room recovery, ransomware response, recovery testing, or resilience engineering programs in a regulated environment.
* Experience applying AI or machine-learning-enabled capabilities to runbook maintenance, operational knowledge management, anomaly detection, recovery readiness analysis, or decision support, with appropriate governance and human oversight.
* Relevant certifications such as OCI, Terraform, Ansible, Commvault, Rubrik, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, or cloud/security certifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Ability to work in a standard office or remote work environment, including extended periods of sitting and viewing monitor(s), and use of standard office equipment.
* Participation in planned recovery exercises, incident response, and occasional after-hours or on-call support may be required.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $105-120K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
