We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to drive our Product Development efforts for K-12 Literacy, including Supplemental, Assessment, and Intervention solutions. In this role, you will guide a talented team of developers and manage our comprehensive literacy portfolio.



What You'll Do


In this role, you will provide overall product development leadership for our Literacy portfolio, which includes K-12 Literacy, Supplemental, Assessment & Intervention. With support from the Senior Vice-President of Product Development, you'll collaborate with Product Management/Marketing, Creative Design/UX, and Product Technology to develop innovative product models that meet the needs of today's teachers and students. You will drive product strategy and oversee planning, budgeting, and development for all literacy projects. You will lead a dedicated editorial team through all stages of product development, ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and aligned with the original product vision. You will manage relationships with program authors, key internal personnel, and external partners, including consultants, reviewers, and vendors.



Your Experience



  • You have 12+ years of experience in curriculum development and/or instructional development of instructional materials.

  • You love to lead and have experience effectively managing others.



  • You have a bachelor's degree in English, Reading, Literacy, Elementary or Secondary Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).



  • You have previous teaching experience and knowledge about how children learn.



  • You enjoy challenges and a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.



  • You thrive on fruitful collaboration and building consensus among a variety of stakeholders.



  • You are passionate about improving student outcomes and developing quality content.



  • You are willing to travel occasionally as projects require.

This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. The posted hiring range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting and remains subject to modification. Compensation is determined by factors such as but not limited to skills, experience, budget, and internal equity.


Hiring Range: $160,000 - $200,000
