General Responsibilities:

Join our team as a Construction Materials Technician and play a hands-on role in building the communities around us. You'll be out in the field and in the lab testing materials like soil, concrete, asphalt, and steel to ensure projects are built safely and to the highest standards.

In this role, you'll:

  • Conduct field and laboratory testing, inspections, and observations on construction materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors to support project success.
  • Collect and transport material samples for additional testing and analysis.
  • Document your findings through detailed digital and written reports that help keep projects moving forward.
  • Maintain equipment, vehicles, and workspaces so you're always ready for the next challenge.
  • Assist with coordinating technician schedules and project assignments when needed.
  • Champion a culture of safety on every project, every day.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observations duties.
  • Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
  • Communicates information to Project Manager and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
  • Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the Project Manager
  • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
  • Maintains assigned equipment.
  • Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
  • Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

  • Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

Required Certification:

  • Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
