Job Summary:
The Business Analyst - Strategic Initiatives & Programming (SIP) provides analytical, financial, reporting, and project support across both departments. This role supports large cross-functional initiatives, contract and renewal preparation, vendor analysis, financial modeling, dashboards, recurring reporting, compliance activities, and process documentation. The analyst works with data, business inputs, and stakeholders to develop clear insights, models, summaries, and recommendations that improve visibility, support decision-making, and strengthen execution. Responsibilities: * Provide analytical and project support for Strategic Initiatives and Programming priorities, including recurring department work, leadership requests, cross-functional initiatives, and large strategic projects. * Support financial analysis, budget tracking, cost modeling, forecasting inputs, and recurring financial reporting tied to programming costs, vendor activity, strategic projects, contracts, and renewals. * Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, automated reports, scorecards, KPI tracking, data models, and reporting tools that improve visibility into department priorities, costs, trends, and performance drivers. * Support department submissions such as copyright filings, annual reporting requirements, FCC compliance tracking, Public File maintenance, Kid Vid, CALM Act tracking, and related recurring submissions. * Track enterprise contracts, programming agreements, renewal timelines, key terms, obligations, rate changes, subscriber impacts, commercial dependencies, and business risks to support planning and negotiation readiness. * Document workflows, reporting procedures, project plans, operational handoffs, contract preparation steps, renewal processes, and recurring work to improve consistency, continuity, and knowledge sharing. * Prepare clear summaries, dashboards, models, executive-ready materials, and recommendations that help leaders and partners understand trends, financial impacts, risks, options, and next steps. * Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, Communications, IT, Engineering, Category Management, Vendor Management, and other partners while following company policies and completing other duties as assigned. * Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same. * Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field. Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum 2 years of experience in business analysis, strategic initiatives, programming, media, telecom, business intelligence, financial analysis, accounting support, compliance reporting, contract management, vendor management, strategic sourcing, or project support. * Experience supporting large projects, budgets, variance analysis, financial modeling, scenario analysis, recurring reporting, dashboard development, contract preparation, renewal analysis, or operational reporting processes. * Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and translate analysis into clear insights, recommendations, and business actions. The hiring range for this position is $65,000-$80,000. The actual base salary offered will be determined based on multiple factors including internal equity, location, and the individual's job-related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based on company and/or individual performance. Work Environment: * Hybrid office environment. * The noise level in the work environment is moderate. * May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands. * Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements. Physical Demands: * May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. * Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating standard office equipment (keyboard, mouse, phone, etc.). * Ability to read detailed information on screens, dashboards, and printed materials; may require prolonged screen time. Mental Demands: * Critical thinking to analyze information, identify trends, and make sound recommendations. * Ability to maintain strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through. * Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and adapt to changing project requirements. | |
