Oracle Fusion HR Systems Administrator

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for performing all tasks necessary to administer a complex, distributed, multi-processor computing environment. Provides project management for more complex projects

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides project management for projects of large scope and complexity.
  2. Develops and uses system monitoring and tuning techniques.
  3. Supports installation of hardware and software changes as required.
  4. Plans and performs operating system installations and upgrades.
  5. Develops and analyzes system performance indicators to assure system operates efficiently.
  6. Reviews systems capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested changes to System(s) are feasible.
  7. Conducts resource and capacity planning for systems.
  8. Analyzes and resolves end user and system reported problems.
  9. Analyzes and resolves operating system problems.
  10. Troubleshoots and performs system crash recovery.
  11. Modifies and write shell scripts pertaining to operating system activities.
  12. Documents all system modifications relating to operating environment changes.
  13. The following job responsibilities are only applicable to those positions performing storage capacity and performance planning for the servers.
  14. Ensures appropriate and sufficient server capacity, performance and availability.
  15. Implements storage processes and procedures at the direction of the lead person
  16. Provides server systems and storage support, application support/optimization, problem resolution tracking, and upgrades of disk storage
  17. Follows data recovery, maintenance, and storage processes and ensures space requirements are and that monitoring policies, procedures, and standards relating to storage management are maintained.
  18. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  19. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  20. Demonstrate commitment to the Company's core values.
  21. Please note due to the exposure of PHI sensitive data - this role is considered to be a High Risk and Privileged Role.

JOB SCOPE:
The incumbent works independently under minimal direction to complete job responsibilities and directs the work of others. Work requires a broad range of knowledge gained through experience, work is varied and complex, and requires independent judgment to identify issues, trends & problems, and recommend action plans, evaluate results, and present to management in a timely manner. The incumbent works with internal and external sources to complete objectives, keeping the needs of external and internal customers as a priority when making decision and taking action.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

  1. BSCS or equivalent required
  2. 3 to 5 years of system administration experience in a complex, 1,000 user +, distributed, multiple processor, UNIX environment.
  3. General knowledge of PC and network troubleshooting
  4. Network Information Services (NIS) involving large user populations. Berkeley and SVR4 file and RAID storage implementations Network File System (NFS) administration and Domain Name Service (DNS).
  5. Experience working with Data Base Administrators in administration of large databases (Oracle, Progress).
  6. Excellent project management skills.
  7. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  8. Ability to identify problem issues and determine the appropriate course of action/redirection within department guidelines required to resolve issues
  9. Required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable
  10. Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $85k-90k. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
