Job Description:

The Role:

Entegris is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician III (Level 3) to join our Pads Maintenance team at the Aurora 500 Commons facility. This full-time second-shift role operates Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Also open to someone working overnights, 10 pm to 6 am.

In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment and facility support systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This position serves as a key maintenance resource for second-shift operations, providing responsive support to production with a strong emphasis on CNC equipment reliability and uptime.

The technician will independently perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, assist fellow maintenance technicians, support engineering initiatives, and utilize the CMMS system to document work performed. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate equipment status effectively with production, engineering, and management teams.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues on production and support equipment.

  • Serve as the primary maintenance support resource for second-shift operations.

  • Demonstrate sound technical judgment by independently resolving routine and moderately complex equipment issues while recognizing when additional support or expertise is needed.

  • Provide primary maintenance support for CNC equipment and respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

  • Complete preventive maintenance work orders safely, accurately, and on schedule.

  • Verify equipment performance and proper operation following maintenance activities.

  • Support reliability improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving equipment performance.

  • Support equipment troubleshooting activities in partnership with senior technicians, engineering, or external vendors.

  • Accurately document work performed, labor hours, spare parts used, and troubleshooting activities within the CMMS/work order system.

  • Assist and collaborate with other maintenance technicians to complete maintenance activities efficiently.

  • Provide clear communication regarding equipment status, downtime events, repair progress, and outstanding issues.

  • Assist with replacement part research, spare parts inventory management, and vendor recommendations.

  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance shop, work areas, and spare parts storage locations.

  • Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives within the maintenance department.

  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.

  • Follow all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practices.

  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to support production demands, maintenance shutdowns, and capital projects.

  • Support and mentor less experienced maintenance technicians when required.

What We Seek

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience troubleshooting CNC and industrial manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience with CMMS or computerized maintenance work order systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, technical documentation.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred

  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.

  • Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and facility utility systems.

  • Forklift, boom lift, or scissor lift certification.
