Truck Driver. Interco - Must have CDL (56611)

American Furniture Rental (AFR) is looking a for an experienced Truck Driver for our warehouse in Kissimmee, FL

PLEASE APPLY ONLY IF YOU HAVE A Commercial Driver License (CDL).

Clean background and driving records. Able to pass pre-employment Drug Testing (12 panels).

Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) qualifications requirements -English Language Proficiency Under 49 CFR 391.11.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Interco Driver is responsible for completing assigned delivery and pick-up routes, transporting merchandise between warehouses, vendors, and customer locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate company vehicles safely, professionally, and courteously at all times.
• Pick up merchandise from warehouses, vendors, and customers.
• Deliver products according to scheduled routes between warehouse locations.
• Verify deliveries match invoices and shipping documentation.
• Maintain vehicles in clean and safe working condition; promptly report maintenance needs.
• Communicate customer feedback, concerns, or special requests to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks when needed.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Overnight travel may be required for up to three days per week (hotel provided).

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Organization and time management skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service and problem solving oriented.
• Available to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to use basic tools such as screwdriver, cordless drills, hammers, or any other assembly tool.
• Basic math knowledge, organization and reading skills.
• Preferred experience handling furniture safely and efficiently.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related industry, such as delivery, warehousing, or inventory management.
• Ability to operate a 26' box truck.
• Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) required.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) that meets insurance underwriting requirements (no violations in the past 12 months).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test.
• Background check required.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, bend, crouch, and remain physically active for extended periods.
• Must comply with all DOT regulations.
