National Healthcare Practice Leader

Dewberry is currently seeking a National Healthcare Practice Leader to champion strategic planning, internal collaboration, project leadership and external business development activities across our Health and Wellness practice.

As our National Healthcare Practice Leader, you'll help shape the future of Dewberry's healthcare architecture practice by bringing together great people, strong client relationships, and a clear vision for growth. You'll collaborate with teams across the country to identify opportunities, strengthen our market presence, and deliver meaningful healthcare environments for the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

    Shape our national healthcare strategy , identifying market trends and opportunities that support long-term growth.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships, serving as a trusted partner to key healthcare clients and helping us develop new relationships.
  • Bring people together, connecting teams and expertise across Dewberry to pursue and deliver exceptional healthcare projects.
  • Lead strategic pursuits, helping identify the right opportunities and guiding teams through positioning, proposals, and interviews.
  • Grow our healthcare practice, expanding our presence across commercial, state/local, and federal healthcare markets.
  • Build industry visibility, representing Dewberry at key healthcare events and strengthening relationships with clients, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Develop our team, helping attract healthcare talent and subject matter experts who can contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
  • Partner with Dewberry leadership, marketing, and business development teams to turn our healthcare vision into measurable results.


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • A Professional Degree in Architecture is required.
  • Technical leadership experience in Healthcare is requred.
  • A State Professional Architectural license is required and the ability to be licensed in multiple states is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience with subject matter expertise and management of ground up and renovation hospital and medical office architectural projects.
  • Proven record of successful Client and business development in the Health and Wellness industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide meaningful project leadership support.
  • Must be enthusiastic about Dewberry and our people, markets segments and services.
  • Diplomatic and persuasive. Able to lead with influence and develop strong business relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
  • Excellent team building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to travel to represent Dewberry.

Location

  • Preference for candidates located in Fairfax, VA. Will consider relocation for the right candidate.

The projected range for this position is $148,000 - $225,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.

Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
