We are looking for an Engineer reporting to an Engineering Team Lead.   • Support production in a mixed model assembly environment
  • Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to meet cost, quality, and capacity requirements
  • Specify, procure, validate, and implement tools, fixtures, and equipment
  • Provide plant expertise in tool selection and error-proofing
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve operations
  • Apply DMAIC methodology to identify root cause and implement permanent solutions
  • Work closely with team leads and technicians to resolve problems
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions
  • Implement engineering change notices
  • Achieve manufacturing engineering milestones for New Product Development programs

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, designing equipment and tooling.
  • Experience conducting time studies and process flow improvements
  • Knowledge of releasing and implementing equipment during product development phases.
  • 3 years of experience utilizing analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is required.
  • Experience in managing ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
  • Understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Willingness to travel (infrequently).
  • Ability to multitask and set priorities.
  • Team player with excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Position requires current work authorization. Sponsorship now or in the future is not provided for this role.
  • Relocation support is not provided for this position. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate at their own expense.

PREFERRED:

  • Full-cycle project management experience is preferred.
  • Practical experience releasing and implementing equipment during product development phases.
  • Knowledge of General Logistics Management and Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Experience with Catia is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
