Our Core Values: Position Overview: The Business Insights Analyst will develop the analytical facts required to improve commercial decision-making across Trilliant's brands, customers, and channels. The role will integrate retailer, syndicated, shipment, promotional, financial, and other available data to measure performance, diagnose drivers, identify opportunities, and generate actionable insights. The Analyst will partner closely with Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Data Science & Analytics, Sales, Finance, Category Management, Marketing, and Business Units. Success is defined by the Analyst's ability to move beyond reporting what happened to explain why it happened and what the data suggests should be investigated or considered next. Responsibilities: Business Performance Analytics * Analyze revenue, volume, distribution, velocity, pricing, promotion, assortment, and mix across brands, customers, SKUs, channels, and markets. * Identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and performance gaps. * Conduct root-cause analysis to distinguish between distribution, velocity, pricing, promotion, mix, seasonality, and other performance drivers. * Develop recurring scorecards and reporting that focuses attention on material business opportunities and risks. * Proactively identify insights rather than relying solely on incoming analytical requests. Promotion & Trade Analytics * Measure baseline performance, promotional lift, incremental volume, cannibalization, post-promotion effects, ROI, and profitability. * Evaluate performance by customer, SKU, promotional depth, frequency, timing, and mechanic. * Develop standardized pre/post-event measurement methodologies. * Identify patterns associated with high- and low-performing promotions. * Partner with RGM to provide the analytical evidence required to optimize future promotion and trade strategies. Pricing, Distribution & Assortment Analytics * Analyze everyday and promotional pricing across products, customers, channels, and competitors. * Support pricing and elasticity analysis. * Analyze SKU-level distribution and velocity. * Evaluate distribution incrementality and SKU productivity. * Quantify performance following pricing, assortment, or distribution changes. * Support RGM and Category Management with analysis of assortment and price-pack opportunities. Data & Analytical Tools * Integrate data from syndicated sources, retailer platforms, internal shipment data, TPM, financial systems, and other commercial data sources. * Develop scalable dashboards, models, scorecards, and analytical tools. * Establish consistent definitions and methodologies for commercial KPIs. * Partner with Sales Operations and other data owners to identify and resolve data-quality gaps. * Reduce manual reporting through repeatable analytical processes and automation. Advanced Analytics * Partner with the Director of Data Science & Analytics on advanced methodologies where appropriate, including statistical modeling, elasticity, incrementality, forecasting, experimentation, and causal analysis. * Support development and validation of analytical models used in commercial decision-making. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or related discipline, required. * 3-6+ years of CPG analytics, commercial analytics, category analytics, RGM analytics, or related experience. * Experience with Circana, NielsenIQ, retailer data platforms, or similar sources. * Advanced Excel and Power BI or comparable visualization capabilities. * Understanding of CPG pricing, promotion, distribution, velocity, assortment, and trade economics. * Experience measuring promotional effectiveness and ROI. * Strong analytical problem-solving and ability to communicate insights clearly. Hours, Location and Pay: We offer a competitive base pay rate and benefits package for full-time employees. This role works Monday-Friday at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility. Physical and Mental Demands: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone.
