Job Details
This is a hybrid role which will be supporting Sibley Memorial Hospital which is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area.Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms. The Director of Regulatory Affairs is responsible for leading the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of regulatory compliance programs to support patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuous survey readiness. Ensures organizational compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including accreditation and certification standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Department of Health (DOH) regulations. This leader will provide enterprise-wide oversight of regulatory readiness activities, including survey preparation and execution, regulatory submissions, corrective action planning, and compliance monitoring. Interprets and translates regulatory requirements into policies, operational workflows, and educational initiatives. Serves as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and acts as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing expert guidance and consultation across the organization to promote a culture of compliance and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead enterprise-wide regulatory compliance and continuous survey readiness strategies. Coordinate mock surveys and consulting engagements to assess readiness and drive organizational improvement. Lead corrective action planning and monitoring to ensure sustained compliance and successful resolution of findings. Oversee accreditation, certification, and licensure activities across the organization. Interpret and operationalize evolving regulatory requirements through policies, procedures, and workflows. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory and accrediting agencies. Partner on investigations and responses related to external regulatory and accreditation complaints. Maintain regulatory systems, documentation, submissions, and audit-ready records. Provide compliance risk assessments and regulatory guidance to executive leadership. Salary Range: Minimum 113,048.00/annually - Maximum 176,696.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
