Mental Health Coordination Lead

Inova Fairfax Hospital Central Access is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Coordinator Lead to join the team. This role will be Full-Time, Day shift position with the following schedule options: Wednesday through Saturday, 7:30 am-6:00 pm.

The Patient Access Team Lead oversees daily operations and drives performance across all patient access functions without direct supervisory authority. The Lead may coordinate with clinical, financial, and technical teams to streamline workflows, train staff on evolving systems, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. They may manage escalations, optimize kiosk and transport operations, and promote service equity through patient advocacy.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees intake operations, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and leads documentation and registration improvements.
• Leads process improvements and trains staff on new tools and system updates.
• Monitors satisfaction and leads service recovery efforts concerning patient inquiries and issues.
• Leads messaging initiatives, coaches staff, and promotes service equity among patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience - 3 years of patient access experience
• Education - High school or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with emergency services, patients experiencing mental health crisis or patients with severe mental illness
