ATI is currently seeking a Maintenance Crib Leader for our facility located in Cudahy, WI. A successful Maintenance Crib Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the maintenance cribs in a safety 1st work environment. This role combines hands-on leadership, inventory management, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and operational excellence are always the top priorities.
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance crib/storeroom activities and employees
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, consumables, lubricants, and maintenance supplies.
- Work with the maintenance team to establish and maintain appropriate minimum/maximum inventory levels and reorder points.
- Issue and receive maintenance parts, tools, and supplies while maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Maintain organized storage locations, labeling, part identification, and inventory-control systems.
- Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventories and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and suppliers to obtain replacement parts and maintenance materials.
- Monitor obsolete, excess, slow-moving, and discontinued inventory and recommend appropriate disposition.
- Support planned and preventive maintenance by staging required parts and materials before scheduled work.
- Develop and maintain standard work, procedures, and controls for crib operations.
- Train, coach, schedule, and evaluate crib employees.
- Actively supports ATI Forged Products, Safety and Quality Programs and ensure safe job practices are being practiced.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Supervision experience Highschool Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- 3-5 years' experience in materials management
- Experience Supervising in a Union environment
Essential Skills:
- Emphasis on crib re-organization to best locate parts where they are used
- Collaborate with Planners and Material Handlers to coordinate part kitting
- Coordinate stock authorization
- Review critical spares:
- Coordinate safety stock.
- Ensure critical spares are not restricted.
- Remove inventory vetted to be not needed due to equipment decommissioning or obsolescence.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment and machinery related drawings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively lead in a team based problem solving environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft programs (excel, word, PowerPoint) for scheduling manpowr, managing project budgets, and communication
