Job Description

In this role, you will lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers and technicians within the dry etch area. You will be responsible for sustaining operations, process control, process and equipment improvements, capacity expansion, process development, technology transfers, quality enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives in this area. Additionally, you will partner with and receive support from cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of quality products on time and in accordance with customer specifications. You will also collaborate with global counterparts to benchmark and enhance dry etch processes and equipment across the company.

  • You are passionate about mentoring and developing engineers and technicians, setting clear goals and expectations while providing regular feedback.
  • You can lead key activities in the dry etch area, including:
  • Monitoring and controlling dry etch processes.
  • Solving technical problems to ensure predictable high quality, and participating in troubleshooting taskforces to develop solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Proactively identifying continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities and driving them to completion.
  • Improving area flexibility by qualifying additional processes on different toolsets.
  • Installing and qualifying new toolsets efficiently and effectively.
  • You can partner with other teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and meet output requirements.
  • You can act as a key technical resource, providing technical guidance and support to the team.
  • You can establish specifications for processes, equipment, and new technologies, characterize new processes, and transition documented processes into production operations.
  • You can justify, procure, and implement new process tools into production to meet technology and capacity requirements.
  • You can partner with global counterparts to identify and implement best practices.
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and are self-motivated.
  • You are data-driven, results-oriented, and a team player who fosters a collaborative, high-performance environment.
  • You communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Job Requirements

Must Have:
* PhD or M.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science.
* 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor fab with specific emphasis in the dry etch area, and with experience of leading and mentoring teams.
* Strong technical knowledge of dry etch principles, theories, concepts, materials, applications, and techniques.
* Strong working knowledge of advanced CMOS and RF wafer processing technologies and processes and product level interactions that affect device yields.

Nice to Have:
* Strong knowledge of ACE, 8D problem solving methodology, PROMIS WIP management and JMP statistical analysis software are a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to work well within a global team or environment.
* Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter.
* Experience with design of experiment techniques and data analysis.
