Class A CDL Driver
Location: Union City, GA
Schedule/Shift: Full-time; overtime as needed
Pay: $26-$27 per hour

Job Summary

Responsible for operating Class A commercial vehicles, including 18-wheelers and 26-foot box trucks, and cargo vans to deliver HVAC equipment and related materials. This role includes approximately 80% driving and 20% warehouse support, including loading, unloading, and putting away materials. Drivers will make primarily local deliveries within 1-2 hours, with occasional out-of-state deliveries requiring 3-4 hours of travel while maintaining safe vehicle operation and professional customer service.

Job Responsibilities



  • Deliver HVAC equipment and related materials according to scheduled delivery times.
  • Operate 18-wheelers, 26-foot box trucks, and cargo vans as assigned.
  • Plan and validate delivery routes and directions.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials while following applicable weight limits.
  • Verify delivery materials and obtain customer signatures on delivery documentation.
  • Pick up customer returns and verify products against return or credit requests.
  • Pick up local customer orders and return required documentation.
  • Verify all materials have been unloaded and placed at the delivery location.
  • Complete and return delivery tickets and other required documentation.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and applicable safety regulations.
  • Fuel vehicles as needed and promptly report vehicle defects, accidents, moving violations, or other issues.
  • Assist with warehouse activities, including loading trucks, unloading materials, and putting away inventory.
  • Communicate with supervisors throughout the workday regarding deliveries, schedules, and issues.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures, workplace policies, and operating requirements.
  • Work overtime as needed.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum 1 year of experience driving the class of commercial vehicle assigned to the role.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience holding a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Valid Class B or Class A CDL; Class A CDL required when operating vehicles covered by Class A licensing requirements.
  • Valid state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation and proof of certification.
  • Minimum 3-6 months of sit-down forklift experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with driver-monitoring cameras.
  • Ability to safely secure, load, unload, and transport materials.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow DOT requirements, safety procedures, and delivery documentation processes.
  • Ability to assist with warehouse duties and physical material handling.
  • Reliable attendance, professionalism, and ability to work overtime as needed.
