DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role provides essential clerical assistance that keeps casework and supervisory activities organized and on track. As a Clerk Typist 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Case File Support: Prepare and process case file openings, transfers, and closings
- Document Handling: Scan, program, and mail Family Service Plans, as well as photocopy and fax materials
- Mail Processing: Open, stamp, and distribute incoming mail, and sort agency mail for units and individuals
- Court Preparation: Prepare case files for court and mail court orders
- Record Management: File materials, scan closed files, and manage labels for return addresses, providers, and attorneys
- General Office Tasks: Answer telephones, relay messages, update schedules, retrieve supplies, and complete routine letters
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
